Delivery was attempted but I missed it
If the status says delivery was attempted or unsuccessful, the article is not lost — it has gone back to your delivery post office.
What happens next
The article is normally held at the delivery post office and a second attempt is made, or a notice is left asking you to collect it.
Unclaimed articles are eventually returned to the sender, so it is worth following up rather than waiting.
How to collect it
Go to the delivery post office shown in the tracking history with the consignment number and a photo ID. If someone else collects it, they usually need your authorisation as well as their own ID.
You can also call the delivery office and ask for a re-attempt at a time you can be present — quoting the consignment number is enough.
